Quakebook

After the earthquake of March 11th, a fellow on Twitter by the name of @ourmaninabiko has been working tirelessly to create a book to raise funds for the victims of that terrible event. Many kind souls have devoted their time and effort to bring this book to fruition. People have submitted personal testimonies from that day, people who know how to do all sorts of things that will forever baffle me have worked round the clock to shape those testimonies into a book format, and the famous author William Gibson has even contributed an original piece. This book has been borne from the desire of people to lend a helping hand to those in need. The book will be available for download soon and, please, everybody buy a copy. There is no reason not to. You get to read a broad range of perspectives from that awful day and people that were affected by those events get help. It’s that simple – you read something interesting and you make people’s lives a little bit better. For more information about how and when to get the book, look here.

I’m looking forward to helping by buying. It’s a wonderful idea and gives the tragedy a human and personal face. Think I’ll be crying a lot.
